My name is ***** and I play cricket. I have been playing cricket for a long time now. I enjoy this sport a lot and spend most of my time training. I have trained in a few different places around the world including South Africa, Netherlands and India. I have chosen to do more research into psychology because I know this could really help me improve as a sportsman.

Sports Psychology is a very broad topic and one thing I want to focus on is how my mental state and what I do will affect my performance in the game. With my personal experience throughout the year I have realised that when your mind is in a certain situation you can get distracted and lose your confidence and concentration. Once all of this happens, I have noticed that I will not be able to do what I want to. Some situations can also be very challenging especially when there is a lot of pressure and playing a sport and winning with pressure can be really hard as well. With me personally, In a final game I played in a shorter form of cricket tournament, I was not able to do well and I could not make any runs in the finals where normally I would perform much better in the league matches and friendlies. Also when I would play some games I would go with a lot of confidence and perform really well and score a lot of runs as well, which is what cricket is about. So I wanted to study more about this topic and see what I can learn and see if it could help me or not.
